An evening with World Bicycle Relief

GIFT organised a table at the 20-year anniversary gala of World Bicycle Relief. It was a privilege to share with our guests exactly the type of organisation GIFT champions: locally led, impactful, and truly transformative.

While mobility feels like a basic human right to many of us, 3.1 billion people worldwide still lack access to reliable transportation. Over the past two decades, World Bicycle Relief has distributed more than 900,000 Buffalo Bicycles across 28 countries, creating a legacy of mobility that continues to transform rural communities.

But WBR goes far beyond simply handing out bicycles. They build entire ecosystems – establishing repair shops, training local mechanics, and ensuring spare parts are available. This comprehensive approach opens pathways to independence, opportunity, and progress for entire communities.

Celebrating WBR's remarkable journey in the spectacular setting of the Geneva Velodrome was both inspiring and incredibly fun! Thank you to our guests who joined us for this special evening.
